The Astounding lionhearted fearless King - No enemy had the power to defeat him or killed him but he was killed by the one about whom he had never thought in his dreams - The story of Rana Kumbha

The Fearless lionhearted king about whom it is famous that he had never been defeated any single war during his rule

The land where the kings belong to the Suryavansh (Sun's dynasty), means itself the descendant of Lord Rama, yes it is the Mewar Dynasty of Rajasthan, India. It is a belief that according to the tradition, the king of the world is Eklingji i.e. Lord Shiva and the Rana or King of Mewar is the Principal custodian. Every morning, the first meeting of Rana held with their king i.e. the king of the world Lord Shiva. The most famous king of the mighty land of Mewar was Maharana Kumbha under whose canopy Mewar touched the heights of cultural prosperity. Not only a great warrior but Rana Kumbha was a veteran Musician. He was the connoisseur of music and was very much fond of playing the veena.

Maharana Kumbha was not only a huge physically strong person but also was a great personality about whom it is famous that he had never been defeated in any single war of his thirty years of his rule. It was not like that Rana's throne was not surrounded by troubles or tumultuousness, again and again, outside the fort wall of Mewar, the snake-like enemies were always ready to bite and to capture Mewar but whenever Rana's sword arose Mewar's soil turned red with the blood of enemies.

The famous Vijay pillar of Chittor built by Maharana Kumbha symbolizes victory over the Sultan of Malwa. The elder son of Maharana Kumbha was "Udaysimha", also known by the name Uda and his younger son was Raimal. Rana loved both of his sons, but who knew that these relationships filled with love would be weakened between the political mess. The elder prince of the palace was born with some perplexed fate, his stars were trouble for both Mewar and Maharana Kumbha. Rana Kumbha had hoped that his children would grow up and follow his footsteps. Elder son Uda had no interest in music, he had a different hobby, he was forgetting the future of Mewar and the father's adoration, in the glare of preciously carved throne.

Rana Kumbha was worried about a strange bad omen. When his younger son Raimal tried to elucidate him, Rana became so angry and excel his son from the kingdom. Around the palace of Mewar, someone was plotting the Murder of Maharana Kumbha. Everyone had doubt on those who were angry from maharana, clouds of danger were hovering over Mewar but that inauspicious shadow was not of any enemy but it was someone who was very close to him. Some astrologers had told his favorite Rana Kumbha that the prophecy is raising finger towards those who were very close to him. Deteriorating Constellations had left an impression on the walls of Kumbhalgadh which Rana was unaware of or could say that he didn't believe in it.

Over time, Rana Kumbha was preparing his son Uday to become a great warrior like him. Rana Kumbha had more confidence in the power of arm rather than the edge of the sword and he was also explaining the same thing to his son. After Raimal left the palace, Rana Kumbha busied himself in the daily affairs of the kingdom. now after Rana Kumbha, the successor of his throne was his elder son "Udaisingh I", but Uda's desire to sit on the throne was increasing day by day and his patience was deteriorating day by day.
On that day, something happened that lowered the necks of the coming generations of Mewar. The neck in which he swung by putting the arm in his childhood, he cut that neck. The hands of that person who fed food to him during his childhood, Uda even snatched the rein of power from him. He was his blood, he was his father but he shed his father's blood. He killed his father who loved him more than anything else, whose desire was to see him became the great king of Mewar. The murder of such a great personality and it would not become a story, it is not possible!

Uda was neither a virtuous king nor was popular in his people. Rana Kumbha increased the limits of Mewar on his stamina but Uday could not handle even them. There is a difference between gaining power and handling it. When Railmal came to know that his elder brother had killed his father, he reached Kumbhalgadh with the army and when Uday came to know about this military attack, he became annoyed and anxious, he didn't find any way other than to run off from the palace. He went to the ruler of manuka and asked him for help to get his kingdom back but the sultan or ruler of manuka decided to help him only in one condition if Uda would agree to marry his daughter to the Sultan or the king. Uda was agreed on the condition because anyhow he wanted his kingdom back.

While he was returning back from Manuka, the weather was rainy, thunder was lightning, the lightning fell on Uda and he was killed. He whose hands were stained with his father's blood, the land of Mewar and sky both were demanding his blood. Uday's existence can be seen in some of these stories only.

If he behaves according to time or had patience, Prince Udai would be called Maharana Udaysimha but he decided to get everything faster, to move faster than time and the consequences of his eagerness were, neither he called crown prince nor the king but only as a killer Uda.
