She was on the bench of the park talking so deeply and passionately to the one who understands her. She called him her best friend, but on that day she was all- ready to propose him. She remembers that day very clearly when she took admission of the most prestigious university in America. Ariel, a girl who is not very socialized kind of person but a very introverted one. All she likes is to spend maximum time of her alone with her all favourite fantasy books especially the books of her most favourite author "Stephen King". She already read almost every book of him around more than twelve times. After her parent's separation and every day unusual fights of her parents, she took herself away from everyone and focus only on her writer's career as for her she had a thought of becoming an author is the best option for her.
Before three years from now, she took admission to the University of Boston in the bachelor of English Literature with a very clear & focused mind toward her career goal. After her parent's separation, she had lost all kind of faith in any relations so she decided to not to make any friend and tried to be formal as much as possible. on the very first day of her arrival at her college hostel's room which was allotted to her, she met her roommate Olivia.
Olivia was completely opposite of Ariel. She is the girl who had a very talkative kind of nature, loves to go to parties, making new friends, always active in all the social media sites. She was doing graduation from clinical Psychology and her best pass time was to make everyone her subject case study and do experiments on their behaviour. Ariel always used to speak less and spend her free time reading books in her room while Olivia for the first time feel difficult to become friend with someone as most of the time only Olivia was the one who started the conversation with Ariel and speaks constantly while Ariel only listens what Olivia says and not speak much.
That was the day when Ariel was so excited when she was returning from college to her hostel and when she met Olivia at the room she saw Olivia was also very happy like her. She asked her why she was so excited. She only told her that the problem which she was trying to solve from last fifteen months is now almost solved. Olivia then asked Ariel about her excitement, She told her about the project in which she has to write a fiction book. This was the first time after many months when Ariel talked so much to Olivia or anyone after her parent's separation. It was the day before the weekend so Olivia suggested Ariel come with her to the party in which she will be going in the evening. Ariel was not interested to go to the party but Olivia forces her so much that she ready to go in the end.
While returning from the party Ariel and Olivia both were completely drunk. After that day the life of Ariel was completely changed for her. Next morning, when she was going to the college, her head was started to spin because of the hangover of yesterday drinks. She was about to collapse on the ground when a boy of her age in the white shirt, black coat and denim hold her from her shoulder. He took her to the park on the left side of the road and help her to sit on one of the benches of the park. He asked her if she is okay now? after five to seven minutes she felt relaxed and thanked him for helping her. For her, that guy looked so much like her fantasy character which she always imagines while reading her fantasy books, maybe that was the reason she wanted to meet him again. She wanted to talk to him about many things but she felt a little shy about where to start the conversation.
The only things which she asked him are his name and thanks him for helping her. for the next six to seven days her mind was completely occupied by his thoughts. It was difficult for her to focus on her project and studies because whenever she tried to focus on her studies, the face of him appeared in her thoughts and all her focus moved toward him. Every day she passes through that road in a hope of meeting him again.
Soon she felt that maybe she would not see that guy again and she murmured herself."Hope so, if we could meet again Arthur". She was shocked to see him on the other side of the road. She was very enthusiastic to see him and she says hey to him by the hand gesture. They both meet again and this time they talked so much about so many different things. She asked him his contact number or address but he said we can meet here every Friday. She agreed for that and not forced him for giving her his contact details. From then, every Friday they started to meet in that park where they first met.
Ariel feels so connected with him that she used to share every thought of her, every situation or problem with him and he give her all that advises which was best for her. It started with friendship but soon their friendship turned into deep love. For Ariel, all that moments which she spends with him is the best moments of her life. Now, all she wants is to live every moment of her life with Arthur. Olivia asked Ariel about her happiness and this time Ariel tell her about Arthur and this was strange for Olivia to see that a girl who never likes to speak so much and having a very introvert kind of nature is now talking so much and enjoying her life without books.
Olivia was not only happy because she sees Ariel in a different way where she enjoyed her life and come out from all the depression which she had because of her parent's separation. But also because of her experiment on Ariel. She remembered that day when she came to know the correct method of hypnotism after fifteen months of hard work. She is so obsessed with the clinical psychological studies that she considers everyone as her case study. Observation of Ariels behaviour was very difficult for her, Every time she tried, every time she failed to change her behaviour or become more friendly with her as Ariel not liked to speak much or become friendly with her. So, that day, at the party she served a number of drinks to Ariel but not to take even a single alcoholic drink for herself but pretend in front of her like she was also taking drinks with her.
When they returned back to their hostel room Olivia helped Ariel to lay on her bed and then she started her hypnotism method and command her that whenever she imagined any of her fantasy book's character hero or says Arthur, she sees a guy who looks exactly she imagines him as her fantasy lover and feel like he is with her. A guy with whom she can share every feeling of her, who understand her and love her so deeply that she forget every problem of her life and start to live a happy life where there is no space for pain, anxieties or any kind of worry or depression.
Olivia was so happy to see her experimental accomplishment. She was now all - ready to reverse the experiment on Ariel to get her final conclusion. But before she could do so, she wanted to do this experiment on some of her other friends also, so that she could observe it from all different angles on different people's behavioural changes. She takes two of her other friends Abigail and Ethan. She did all the arrangements for the experiments but this time after her experiment, no changes can be seen in the behaviour of Abigail and Ethan.
She was all puzzled about what she did wrong in the experiment of Abigail or Ethan. She was so frustrated and confused that she ran toward Ariel to ask her to go to meet her boyfriend. Ariel was in the college library working on project book. Olivia requested her to take her to the guy whom Ariel love so much. Ariel requested her to go tomorrow as she has so much pending work to complete today but Olivia focused her so much that she wants to meet him today.
Finally, Ariel agreed to go with her to meet Arthur. They both went to the park but Arthur was not there so Ariel said maybe he is not coming today. Olivia haphazardly tells Ariel to call her name and feel her. She did the same, Ariel was shocked to see Arthur. She said Olivia "look, he was there, that side of the road". Olivia was all confused as she didn't see anyone on the other side of the road. Ariel said Olivia to come with her to that side of the road to meet Arthur. Olivia murmured herself "how it could be possible? if this experiment working on Ariel, then why it is not working on Abigail and Ethan?"
Ariel was moving toward the other side of the road to meet Arthur when Olivia's phone starts to ring. Olivia said Ariel to go she is just coming after this call and Ariel agreed on that & told her to come soon. Olivia picked up the call, the call was from her Psychology teacher who was checking her assignment report on hypnotism. He wanted to meet her regarding her report and some little mistakes which she did. She was confused when her teacher said mistakes! The only thought in her mind was, that, if she did mistake then how can this experiment worked on Ariel???
She was crossing the road to meet Ariel on the other side of the road when a car coming toward her, hit her so hard that she fell on the road and her blood was all around her. Ariel runs toward Olivia while screaming her name so loudly but Olivia was dead on the spot. It is the soul of Olivia which can now see her body on the road with the blood all around the body and Ariel crying for her. She was shocked to see Arthur too beside Ariel.
She reminds that day when Ariel and she were coming from the party and there was the accident happened on that road because her focus was to handle Ariel in that drunken situation and not driving safely, when she didn't see that car coming from the other side and the guy who was driving that car took the wrong turn to safe Ariel and her. That guy was died because of her not having the focus on driving. Now, she understood that everything which is happening with Ariel is not because of her experiment but she can really see the soul of Arthur. Maybe Arthur was her soul mate and is with her now because he knows that on that very day he saved her soulmate by sacrificing his life for her.
Now after three years, on the final day of graduation for everyone Ariel is just a Psycho girl who talked to someone who is actually no one for others, but for her, he is everything for her. Today, on the bench of the park she is proposing him to be with her on this life or after the end of her life till the eternity.
